What we do:
Through our 4 service divisions we provide retail specialty services to residential and commercial clients; emergency water, fire and smoke restoration to a wide variety of clients local and regional, we provide complete repair and reconstruction services as well as environmental and hurricane and national response to catastrophic events.  This is not a janitorial type of cleaning job. 

We provide highly sought after specialty cleaning and property restoration services to a wide range of customers who have come to respect the ServiceMaster of Greater Pittsburgh brand. We are a leading franchisee in the ServiceMaster network that has allowed us to service customers nationwide.

We provide emergency property restoration and reconstruction services to residential, commercial, and institutional clients in the western Pennsylvania area and beyond.  Our service teams operate in a similar manner to a hospital emergency room in providing a wide variety of services to damaged or injured property in an emergency.  Our customers are leading insurance companies, property management companies as well as local hospitals, colleges, and venues. Our staff provides expert guidance to those who experience unplanned and unexpected property damage. We provide expert drying of buildings after flooding and water damage, detailed cleaning, sanitizing and deodorization after fire and smoke damage as well as comprehensive repair and reconstruction services. General Description of Job Duties:
  • Work in a variety of job site locations including commercial, residential, and institutional locations starting daily from our corporate offices in Oakmont, Pennsylvania
  • Work as part of a team to provide specialty cleaning and restorations services to property damaged by fire, water, smoke as well as non- disaster related cleaning type services
  • This is a position that will perform a wide variety of job duties that require moderate to extensive physical movement and activity.
  • Training will involve classroom, self-paced online as well as extensive on-the-job training. 
  • Specializes in carpet cleaning, flooring, trauma cleaner, or some other specialty.
  • Workdays typically begin at 7am with some Saturday work required.
  • Service work can include wall washing, floor cleaning, kitchen and bathroom cleaning as well specialty sanitizing, deodorizing and decontamination processes
  • You will be trained to properly use Personal Protection Equipment during the various work processes. 
  • You will be expected to be able to communicate with customers, fellow workers and management team daily and to understand written and verbal instructions
  • You will travel to various job sites through out the area in company supplied vehicles
  • You will use specialty cleaning and restoration products as well as professional equipment and processes to achieve outstanding results
  • You will be part of an emergency on call team available one week out of every four weeks to provide world class service to our clients with emergency needs after hours
  • We are considered a cleaning and restoration company not a maid service or janitorial service but those with those experiences are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Requirements
  • We are a drug free organization and all employees must past drug screen testing
  • Must past criminal background screening 
  • Valid and insurable Pennsylvania Drivers License
  • 2 years minimum work experience 
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and crawl as part of the work process.
  • Must be able to carry 50lbs. 
  • Must be willing to participate in on call program as part of team.
  • Must be able to follow detailed processes and have good attention to detail.
  • Must enthusiastically want to learn new work processes.
  • Must enjoy helping people. 
  • Must have a history of great work attendance as call-offs and absences from work are problems for the team and customers that depend on you.
  • Must be available to work overtime occasionally-Overtime is regularly available
  • Ability to navigate basic phone apps and possess a Smart Phone
Preferred Skills But Not Required 
  • Experience in Water damage or Fire Damage restoration industry
  • Current IICRC certifications
  • Ability and willingness to want advance to be a team leader and be responsible and accountable for not only your work but the work of your team.
  • Experience working in homes or commercial sites providing service or construction type work.
  • A desire to advance personal work career by learning and growing with a great company
  • An ideal candidate can work unsupervised and deliver consistent work effort and results.
Physical Demands and working conditions.
  • Job is physical in nature and requires ability to move around constantly.’
  • Work conditions will vary depending on the job situation with the possibility of variations in temperature, smells and levels of cleanliness.
  • Must be able to work with company provided PPE including protective clothing, goggles, gloves and respirators of various types to protect yourself in some situations
  • May be required to climb a step ladder four steps up or work on a ladder to 12 ft.
  • May be required to carry up to 50lb loads for extended periods of time
  • Will be expected to climb steps and travers uneven sidewalks and landscape.
  • Will primarily be working inside but must be able to work outside occasionally. 
 

 

 
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
